So I decided to write down 5 of my all-time favourite anime openings. As a sakuga fan, I’m mostly judging openings by direction and animation, but that doesn’t mean I’ll put here an excelently animated opening with horrible song. List after jump…

Fall season is near, so I decided to do an article about it. I’m only going to include shows I’m interested in and I haven’t seen a single Gundam anime. It won’t change this season. Not going to include sequels. I’m going to include my thoughts about story synopsis, staff and overall review divided into positives and negatives. Enjoy reading!
Takeshi Koike’s long awaited movie, REDLINE, was after long wait finally released on DVD and Blu-ray. After seven years of production, my expectations were really high. Did it fullfill them?
Yes, it certainly did! It had pretty much everything I hoped for. Nice characters, amazing soundtrack, gorgeous animation and ADRENALINE, lots of it. These things made me enjoy the littly cliched , although exiciting story.
But since this blog is going mostly to be about animation itself, let’s start talking about it. Few weks ago, MAD maker XMURADX and braves133 made a sakuga (animation) MAD showing movie scenes with annotations of animators, who worked on each scene. Here it is:
Impressive stuff, isn’t it? (I also recommend to check out other Murad’s stuff)
Every animator did wonderful job on this movie. Under Takeshi Koike’s visual direction, everything looks so smooth and polished. It’s certainly him who did the largest part in the production and he definitely deserves a credit for it. Unfortunately, sales weren’t really impressive, but I hope it will eventualy do better in US.
So that’s it, lol. If you hoped for a longer article, I’ll say something positive. Next article will be about upcoming anime season and it’s going to be A LOT longer (and interesting I hope).
In the end, I’d like to link to braves133′s article about REDLINE MAD, which contains some trivia about making of the MAD and movie.
